This 8 week course will introduce you to the basic tools and techniques within Autodesk’s Maya software. Students will use Maya to create complex models similar to the ones used for broadcast, commercial, film, industrial design and architectural visualization.
Through lectures, class assignments and weekly projects, each module within the package will be explored as it applies to the production. A concentration on dimensional space, proportions, reference collection, and basics of surfacing is the main goal of the course. Each student will be expected to complete a 10 second turntable of their final model, which will serve as the final project.
