Vray & Corona Unites Together as One

[ #Chaosgroup #Corona #Vray #Rendering #RealisticRender #news #Plugin ] The news of the year has got to be this awesome partnership between ChaosGroup and RenderLegion, makers of Corona render engine. This union came just at the right time, as many CG artists were switching over from Vray to Corona due to its simplicity when compared to Vray. After 13 months of silent deliberation, the deal was made less than 24 hours ago for an undisclosed sum.

This is definitely going to be the best thing that has happened to 3d visualization, as both teams would work together to make the render engines better than ever before and in ways they couldn't have done alone.


Meanwhile, Corona had turned down offers from various investors who were more than willing to invest in their company but opted for ChaosGroup because of their wealth of knowledge, experience and financial power. Both products will continue to be developed independently by the same teams and with the same level of innovation.

Work is already in progress to include Vray's DMC sampler into Corona 1.7, and the optimization of V-Ray’s dome light has already begun with the help from the Render Legion team. The Forums and support websites would still remain the same and accessible as before. Great things are coming...for this is just the beginning, so watch out for more!
