Han Yang - 3D generalist in Vancouver currently working in VFX industry has spent almost a year and half to work on his personal project. It's 5 minutes Sci-fi action CGI short-film named The LANDER and it look like a movie which was produced in Hollywood.
The story is about an alien explorer on his mission to a new planet, during his descent into the atmosphere he discovered a spaceship wreckage hidden in the jungle. Landed not far away from the crash site, he has to go through a dense forest where wild predators have him already surrounded. Check out the film below

I’ve been trying really hard to push myself by taking on most aspects of the production, from asset, animation all the way to compositing and sound mixing.
- Han Yang said to CG Record

Having gone through countless technique difficulties and creative challenges, the final film has exceeded my expectations. I'm really proud to be able to share with you my work and I hope you enjoy it.
- Added Han

To produce the film Han rendered in Unreal Engine real time for previs and , composited with elements rendered from V-ray for final. Han has some great support from Ben Erdt and Perry Leijten in the humanoid character rig & asset. Also Vick Gaza and Perry for the big monster asset.
